Looks great but why isnt the game filling up the screen? The black bars are killing me.
lol ipads aren't serious for gaming. Imagine paying $25 for this. You could buy the PS4 version on Woot for $20 which has a free PS5 patch. No black bars or ugly icons on the screen. Is this even running at 60 FPS?

So… buggy, crashing, load issues, download issues, M4 performs < M1 …
What a half-hearted effort by Apple
Unfortunately, we are still years out from AAA gaming on iOS.
I’ll still download it though
How can a buggy app be Apples fault?

What about the many people who don't have a PS5?

Sure, mobile gaming has tremendous potential, but I'm still not convinced that the very people who are prepared to pay $50 for a game aren't also the people that already have a PlayStation, Xbox, PC or even a Switch.

similar experience to others. Crashed twice in the first 20 mins trying to play. stuttering visuals on high graphics setting, switched to medium and it was more playable, but still crashed and iPad 11 M4 getting well toasty. any chance ubisoft update this buggy mess soon?

Seems to be a lot of people that bought it anyway, though if they are smart, they bought it in the first 2 weeks for $25.

I can’t play the PS4/5 game away from my TV, unless I get a PS Portal. And when comparing a Portal Wi-Fi experience vs. native iPad experience, I’ll pick the iPad. Allows me to not carry an additional unit, and I can still play with no controllers nearby.

Same.
Too much remote working at Apple. Gaming team on a different planet from hardware team.

I am.
Apple has set hardware and a closed ecosystem. The idea is to control the user experience.
- strict app review guidelines? Failed
- Apple team to work with game developers? Failed
- their bespoke coding architecures to ensure consistent outcomes and best leverage their hardware? Failed
This isn’t Android or some random oem hardware we are talking about.

Strange, the intent of my original question was about VP availability it is not there.
Assuming you are responding to VP availability I'm not seeing it?

Unplayable on the 11” iPad Pro M4 when screen mirroring, crashes every 3 minutes.
App Store rating down to 2.5*. I’m surprised it’s so high!

Nothing like taking a stealth game designed for a 14 button, dual analog controller, and using janky on-screen touch controls
Xbox controllers work with the iPad no problem. You are making an issue what is not really an issue if you prefer controllers.
